Does she need a smartphone or an app?
No. Any phone that can receive a text message works, even a flip phone. There's nothing to download and no password.
Will you text my mom without her knowing?
Never. We don't text anyone until they text their gift code to us themselves. Reply STOP anytime and the texts stop immediately.
