Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

RIRD is an AI agent you text to get things done in the real world -- book, buy, compare, and switch. RIRD is operated by Rird AI LLC ("RIRD," "we," "us," or "our"). You reach RIRD over SMS, and where available WhatsApp and Telegram.

By texting RIRD or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

RIRD is an AI agent that chats with you and, when you ask, takes actions on your behalf -- such as finding options, comparing prices, making bookings or reservations, completing purchases, and helping you switch providers. RIRD works best as a helpful assistant; you remain in control of every decision.

RIRD relies on third-party services, merchants, and data sources to act. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, pricing, policies, or fulfillment.

3. Your Account Is Your Phone Number

RIRD is login-free. Your phone number is your account. When you first text RIRD, we automatically create an account tied to that number -- there is no email or password signup required. You are responsible for the security of your phone and your messaging apps, and for all activity that occurs through your number.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the service.

4. Actions, Confirmation, and Spending

RIRD always confirms with you before spending money. When an action involves a payment, a booking, or a commitment on your behalf, RIRD asks you to confirm first, and we apply spend guardrails. We do not complete a purchase without your explicit go-ahead.

You are responsible for the instructions you give and the actions you approve. Once you confirm an action, you authorize RIRD to carry it out, and you are responsible for the resulting charges, bookings, and obligations with the relevant merchant or provider. Cancellations, refunds, and changes are subject to the policies of that merchant or provider, not RIRD.

RIRD can make mistakes. Review confirmations and details before approving, and let us know promptly if something looks wrong.

5. Free and Premium Plans

Free -- Generous chat, up to 20 actions per month, and proactive deal alerts at no cost.

Premium -- $9.99 per month for unlimited actions. Premium is billed through our payment processor, Stripe, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing or limits with notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

Charges from merchants for things RIRD books or buys on your behalf are separate from your RIRD subscription and are paid to those merchants.

6. Messaging Terms (SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram)

Because you start the conversation, you consent to receive messages from RIRD at the number you text us from, including replies to your requests, action confirmations, and proactive deal alerts. Message frequency varies based on your usage.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of messages, and HELP for help. Opting out may stop us from being able to provide the service. We support these standard commands on the channels where they apply.

7. Sponsored and Affiliate Disclosure

RIRD is useful first, profitable second. We make money in two ways. First, some recommendations are sponsored placements selected through an advertiser auction; these are clearly labeled "Sponsored." Second, some links RIRD shares are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you act on them.

Sponsored placements never change the genuine ranking of what we believe is best for you. We do not sell or share your phone number with advertisers -- we are the publisher that serves the placement. See our Privacy Policy for how this works.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RIRD to break the law, to harm others, to commit fraud, to send spam, to infringe intellectual property, to attempt to bypass our spend guardrails or security, or to ask RIRD to take actions you are not authorized to take. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, at our discretion.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. RIRD is an automated assistant and may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. We do not guarantee that any price, deal, availability, or outcome is correct, current, or the best available. You are responsible for verifying important details before relying on them.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rird AI LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost savings, missed deals, or costs from purchases or bookings made through the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

11. Advertiser Terms

Businesses can advertise with RIRD by signing up at /advertise, funding a prepaid balance through Stripe, and running campaigns that compete in our placement auction. Advertiser balances are used to pay for placements as they are served; amounts spent on delivered placements are non-refundable. Unused balance may be refundable at our discretion.

Advertisers are responsible for their offers and creative, which must be lawful, accurate, and not misleading, and must comply with our content rules. We may reject, label, pause, or remove any campaign or placement at our discretion. Winning the auction affects placement only; it never overrides the genuine ranking we show users.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
